She would have gotten in anyway
Saw this note about Michelle Wie getting into Stanford (see the Yahoo! story here).
I also received a question from the peanut gallery about whether her status as a really really good professional golfer -- and one who won't be playing on the college team -- got her preferential treatment.
Well, her grades and test scores and the fact that she's got Stanford grads all up and down her family tree got her in.
Oh yeah, and the fact she made 20 Million in endorsements last year DID NOT HURT.
So, if you are young and making a lot of money in endorsements, U Sphere would encourage you to apply to places like Stanford.
You can also use our free services here at U Sphere like everyone else.
Or you can use the $10 a month U Advisor service and, because it's confidential, we won't tell anyone.

Well, maybe, but maybe not. She may be a Teen Celebrity, but hey, how many Teen Celebrities are really attending near Ivy's? Hillary Duff attends Harvard Extension School, but outside that, I don't hear much about Teen Celebrities stealing the spotlight on the top campuses--though they perhaps should.
20-mill in endorsements--sure that will raise an eyebrow. But nothing will raise an eyebrow and steal a heart more than the kid who risked his or her life to save people in Katrina or maybe the "Regular kid" who serves homeless people and attends church every Sunday. These kids are competitive, if not more, based on their struggle through adversity, courage, or otherwise good use of "Moral Fiber."
20--Mill in endorsements, no matter how generous this Teen Celebrity may be,is more of a self-promotion technique, not something that, I for one, would not jump for--even if it would mean denying the student.
