Congrats to our friends from TutorVista

Great publicity for our friends from TutorVista this morning -- a feature on NBC's Today Show.

The show touched on the power of the Internet and real-time, personalized tutoring -- and looked at a couple case studies from TutorVista clients.

Not bad, gang!

BTW, you can link to our special TutorVista offer here.

I've come across a number of online tutoring websites (e.g. tutor.com, homeworkhelp.com, tutoreasy.com, www.schooltrainer.com, etc.). Has anyone prepared a comparison of the various companies (pricing, quality, etc.)?

That might take a little research on your part to find the right ones for you...I'm not sure there are studies on Consumer Reports or Yelp or some other site...but I haven't sniffed around too much on that subject.

We happen to like the TutorVista folks for the depth and breadth of what they provide students - and we test-drove the product before we decided to put a link up on our site.

I've tried both Consumer Reports and Yelp, without any luck. Before I go with Tutor Vista I'd like to compare this against other tutoring sites, such as the ones I mentioned plus Vie-Nova, SchoolTrainer, TutorAndMentor and Tutor Next.

We were very excited to find Tutor Vista online tutoring. The free trial was just enough to get my son's attention. He responded well to the whiteboard as well as seeing the problem simplified on screen with an interactive chat as well. The only problem I've encountered is the length of time it takes to reply to the applicant for orientation. By the time we finally received an orientation call, my son had returned to school. Now trying to cancel my membership two days later, I have been transferred from chat to phone several times, with delays of up to 30 minutes at a time. There is a glitch in communication that hopefully will soon be amended. I do feel the program is worthwhile and very helpful for students that gain the concept easier by being interactive.
